Baltimore Washington Laborers' District Council Announces First Round of MD State Legislative Endorsements

Annapolis, MD (May 14, 2018) —Today, the Baltimore Washington Laborers’ District Council (BWLDC), an affiliate of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA), announced its endorsement of 59 candidates running for Maryland General Assembly seats, including 14 open seats in the House and 11 open seats in the Senate:

“The Maryland General Assembly has many members up for re-election this year who have been with us on important votes, and have demonstrated that their values align with those of LIUNA,” said David Allison, Business Manager of the Baltimore Washington Laborers’ District Council, LIUNA. “We’re also pleased to announce our endorsement of 25 candidates running for open seats who understand, like we do, the importance of growing the middle class by leveraging Marylanders’ tax dollars to create construction jobs that pay family-sustaining wages, provide family healthcare, and worker pensions.”
