Baltimore Washington Laborers’ District Council Announces Ten More Endorsements for the Maryland General Assembly

Annapolis, MD (June 1, 2018) —Today, the Baltimore Washington Laborers’ District Council (BWLDC), an affiliate of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA), announced 10 additional endorsements for the Maryland General Assembly, bringing its total to 73 candidates endorsed to-date. Today’s endorsements are:

House:

• -Amy Blank, District 11
• -Kevin Mack, District 15
• -Julie Palakovich Carr, District 17
• -Mary Lehman, District 21
• -Karen Simpson, District 31B
• -Terrell Boston Smith, District 40
• -Delegate Nick Mosby, District 40
• -Michele Guyton, District 42B
• -Sachin Hebbar, District 42B

Senate:

• -Katie Fry Hester, District 9

“We’re pleased to announce our endorsement of these nine additional candidates running for open seats who understand, like we do, the importance of growing the middle class by leveraging Marylanders’ tax dollars to create construction jobs that pay family-sustaining wages, provide family healthcare, and worker pensions,” said David Allison, Business Manager of the Baltimore Washington Laborers’ District Council, LIUNA.

“The BWLDC is committed to identifying, endorsing, and supporting candidates for elected office whose values and priorities are consistent with those of our members. The 10 candidates we have endorsed today are part of that effort,” commented Allison.
