The Mid-Atlantic Region of the Laborers' International Union of North America represents more than 40,000 working men and women. LIUNA members construct buildings from strip malls to skyscrapers, build roads, bridges and other critical infrastructure, perform environmental remediation, and work in a variety of other jobs, such as public service. The region includes members in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and the District of Columbia. LIUNA members are highly-skilled construction laborers focused on advancement and new opportunities for both themselves and construction contractors.
To learn about joining LIUNA, contact the Mid-Atlantic Regional Organizing Coalition, or MAROC. Through MAROC, workers can form a union, get fair treatment on the job and learn the skills needed for a family-sustaining career.
To learn more about construction craft laborer training, contact your local Laborers Training Center. In the eight Laborer training schools across the region, members learn the latest construction skills, free of charge.
If you are a construction contractor and you want to know the advantages of employing skilled union laborers, and what LIUNA does to aggressively market your firm, contact Mid-Atlantic LECET, LIUNA's partnership with contractors employing union labor.
