Pittsburgh, Pa. (December 22, 2022) - This milestone reinforces the importance of hiring local, union contractors. Union contractors Fay, S&B USA Construction and Kokosing bring a successful track record as well as a commitment to safety with them to the team of Bridging Pennsylvania Partners. In addition to the six major bridges that they are replacing, they will also be building pathways to the middle class for Pennsylvania’s working families by creating good union jobs at a time when the Biden Administration is also encouraging union wages and benefits through the use of project labor agreements. Bridging Pennsylvania Partners’ experience on this first package will only strengthen their readiness for the second package of the project, and we are looking forward to more union opportunities on the second package.
